Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FoodCorps.
Program Coordinator
The interview was done over zoom, lasting about 45 minutes to an hour. They sent the interview questions ahead of time, so I had a chance to prepare. While my interview went well and I was told I'd definitely get a call back, I ended up being ghosted and never heard back.
- Questions will be sent beforehand
Program Coordinator
The interview process was great, with thoughtful questions, focused dialogue, and a clear organizational representation. The only drawback was a lack of follow up after the interview. They did get back to me saying I did not receive the position, but when I politely asked for ways to improve or clarification, I received no additional information.
- Regarding your past roles, could you describe your experience with DEI initiatives?
Program Coordinator
Got an email to set up an initial phone interview within a week. It went smoothly and was about 30 minutes. Don't expect a reply - even after following up with emails to multiple people - they ultimately ghosted, like others have said.
- Tell me about a time you had to communicate with multiple people.
