First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Foodbuy.
Project Manager
I had a phone screen, but then it went quiet for a bit. I reached out, but the recruiter didn't really move things forward. About a month later, I got an automated email. Since I've been out of the job market for a little while, I'm not sure if this kind of delay is typical.
- Can you walk me through your past experience?
- What are your thoughts on salary expectations?
Product Manager
Went through multiple behavioral interviews with managers and directors. The recruiter never got back to me, even after I followed up a bunch. They didn't give a clear picture of what the role actually entailed. It was a pretty long process for what the job turned out to be.
- Why are you interested in Foodbuy?
Sourcing Buyer
Had a confusing interview experience. I interviewed with some team members and they gave positive feedback. They gave me 3-4 different timelines for a decision, which passed without any updates. I followed up four times over a month. Two times they responded saying they'd let me know and that things were positive. I ended up withdrawing my application because I felt the process reflected a frustrating company culture. I didn't even get a response when I withdrew, which was pretty awful. I wouldn't suggest interviewing here.
- How would you quickly get started in this role?
Category Manager
It was a very personal interview. First, there was one interview with HR to see if I was a good fit for the company and the job description. Second, I had interviews with directors in the field who asked me in-depth questions about how I could contribute. They really focused on the person more than anything else.
- What do you consider to be the most important factor when choosing an employer?
