It was a good and to-the-point interview. The interviewer was polite. Only one person made me uncomfortable, seeming competitive and combative rather than friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, and they were very quick to get back to me!

The interview process was pretty easy and straightforward. There were two rounds total, first a phone/video call, then an on-campus meeting where I met with people from different student and academic affairs offices. The whole thing, from applying to getting the offer, took about a month.

I applied online and then got an email for a panel interview. I met with 6 people and they were 20 minutes late for the interview because they decided to take a break. This seemed a little weird since they chose the time and date. My time is important too! They asked me basic behavioral questions. I had just gotten off a transatlantic flight, so I was probably not at my best, but no one seemed to notice. Most of the questions that I asked them, they seemed stumped by. These were questions like, "What is a major project that I would be contributing to?" "What is one thing you'd like to change about this department or the university? How can I help with that?" Then they wanted to talk about pay. I said I was sure they had an estimate in mind, and they then realized they had no pay information. Later heard through the grapevine that 30k was too much to ask and that I was 'overqualified.'
