Had a phone screen with the recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager. We went back and forth on questions with both of them. After that, it was an on site with the team and the CEO. Started with lunch with the CEO, then did a round robin interview with individual or dual senior leadership team members.

This was one of the best interview experiences I've had. The recruiting director was great at sharing info and connecting me with top execs, even setting up lunch with the CEO. They were upfront about current business hurdles and their innovative approach. The whole thing was super organized and felt really welcoming from the start. Even folks not directly involved in my interviews were friendly and happy to answer my questions about the company culture and work vibe.

HR does an initial phone screen. Then there's a second phone screen with a hiring manager before coming in for an office visit. The onsite interviews involve a mix of junior and senior staff, with each interview being one-on-one. One senior interviewer focused on product management specifics, while others seemed more interested in cultural alignment. The whole process was pretty fast. Some tips: 1) The company operates in several areas, including being a self-clearing broker, offering an advisory API, and robo-advising. It's smart to know their market role. They seem to focus on innovation. 2) Try out their platform with a free trial, but don't anticipate UI/UX questions as they acknowledged the UX needs improvement. 3) For PM questions, practice common ones from Quora. 4) Avoid mentioning competitors, as it seemed to upset an interviewer. 5) Interviewers stressed the founder's significant role in the product roadmap, aiming for innovation that benefits investors, even if it doesn't directly boost profits. The PM team needs to figure out how to make new products or features more revenue-generating, even though the firm prioritizes innovation over immediate profit. Looking back, I wasn't fully prepared for basic PM questions.

I met with the hiring manager and some execs. The company has a really arrogant vibe, like they think they're the smartest people around. I was told I don't talk fast enough to seem sharp enough for the CEO, which is wild since I get paid to speak on camera. This job has been posted forever, like 3-4 years straight, so I'm guessing people either don't make the cut or they quit.
