First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FN America.
Intern
The staff were very professional and kind. They managed the whole process well and got back to me quickly after a phone call. HR was totally in charge and gave me all the info I needed. I dressed professionally for my Teams call.
- Tell me about your school experiences related to this job.
Director
The first interview was a quick HR call where we discussed my salary expectations. Even though my salary was within their stated range, the HR person questioned why I'd need that much, citing the lower cost of living in South Carolina. Then, there were two video interviews. I initially connected well with the main boss in a good two-way conversation. However, the second interview was with two colleagues at my level. They joined the video call dressed very casually, which I found a bit disrespectful, but I tried to overlook it. Their questions felt intentionally difficult, as if they were looking for a negative response rather than focusing on my strengths or getting to know me. To top it off, they never informed me about the decision. I only found out I likely didn't get the job when someone else updated their LinkedIn to reflect the title.
- Can you tell me about a time when you...?
Customer Service Representative
Applied and got contacted by HR the next day for a phone screening. Had my first phone interview with a manager a couple days later, and then a second interview via video conference a few days after that with the same manager and the person who the job was for. The questions were standard. Everyone I met was kind and attentive. Unfortunately the job posting was cancelled.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a situation where you had to handle a challenging client.
Senior Director of Business Development
The interview process was really quick, thorough, and pleasant! It felt like everything moved at a perfect pace from when I applied to getting hired. It was fast enough to keep things moving but also not too fast that important things were missed. I went through two rounds of initial interviews and then I had a presentation.
- Describe what success looks like.
- What processes would you put in place?
