Behavioral Technical Presentation
The interview process involved three interviews and a meet-and-greet with a current consultant engineer. The first interview, lasting 30 minutes, focused on my experience and was pretty standard. The second interview was the challenging part. They flew me in for a 4-hour session with the hiring manager and training director. It was heavy on behavioral questions, so definitely practice your 'describe a time when...' stories. You'll need to think fast; they might ask you to explain a system's function just by looking at pictures. I also had to present my own scenario about a facility, explaining it from the engineer's viewpoint for this role. It wasn't super technical, more about seeing if I could observe and understand things. The third interview was with the manager via Zoom and was similar to the first one. This is a good time to ask your bigger-picture questions. After that, I met with someone currently in the position, which was great. They were really open about any concerns I still had. It was a really positive experience overall, and they really stressed making sure YOU know as much as possible about the job. They appreciate it when you ask a lot of questions, so have all your questions ready.

Behavioral Technical Presentation
It was a 3-stage interview. The first two rounds were online: a chat with a recruiter and then with the hiring manager for general get-to-know-you chats. The final round was in Frankfurt and had three parts. Two parts were with HR and technical management, both behavioral interviews with some technical questions thrown in, especially about safety and industry specifics. They were friendly and helpful, but still a serious interview. The last part was a presentation on a topic of my choice. I had to present a hypothetical situation where I visit a client and report on facility flood risks and possible improvements. They wanted to see my communication skills, how I'd interact with management, and my overall presentability. I had 45 minutes and some brochures to get ready.

I applied online and was contacted for an interview pretty quickly. The interview itself seemed to go well, mostly focusing on behavioral questions that required the STAR method. After the interview, I got an email with an offer, and they said they'd get back to me in 3 weeks, but I never heard from them again. They totally ignored my emails, maybe 2 or 3. It was super unprofessional and a waste of my time.
