First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FLYHIGH Group.
Consultant
The interview process felt very real and relatable. They were upfront about what they needed and happy to answer any questions we had. They got back to us fast and smoothly. I really suggest this company.
- What's motivating your job search at this moment?
Analyst
Went through a phone screen and some take-home challenges. Then, a first round interview was scheduled a week later to go over the project. The final round involved a VP interview to assess personality and ask some general questions.
- Are you familiar with the methodology?
Educational Program Coordinator
The interview process took a couple of days, including phone calls and an in-person meeting. I found the hiring team and staff to be really unprofessional. The whole thing lasted about 2 hours, with two different people interviewing me for an hour each. They asked pretty much the same questions. It felt like discrimination, too. This is a Chinese recruiting agency looking for bilingual hires. First, they wanted me to speak English, then we switched to Chinese. The interviewer commented, 'your accent doesn't sound like mainland Chinese,' which was odd since the job description didn't specify standard Mandarin. Then, they seemed to be fishing for ideas, asking my thoughts on how to run their business instead of focusing on my qualifications. The second interviewer asked more questionable questions. Seeing I was in college for 6 years on my resume, he asked why it took so long, and if I thought it was too personal, considering potential family or health issues. I explained I changed majors, but he kept pushing, asking why I switched from XYZ to ABC, especially since XYZ was his major. He insisted on reasons for my major change, which felt intrusive and irrelevant to the job.
- Could you provide three reasons why you weren't interested in the XYZ major?
- What is your current salary from your job?
Marketing Manager
This role is for their clients. They are more likely to ask you to introduce your work experience. Not too many marketing technical questions. However, they will check your expectation about the salaries and your work status in US.
- Can you tell me about your work experience?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Could you clarify your work status in the US?
