The interview was quite thorough, and I faced a panel of interviewers. They asked about my academic background, past work experience, what I'm doing now, and where I see myself going in the future. There were also questions about specific projects I've done and instances where my work on those projects led to good results.

First, there was a standard HR interview where they asked about my experience, the technologies I've used, and my career goals. Then came the technical part: the first stage was a 30-minute technical discussion with a principal engineer. The second stage was a 60-minute technical discussion with a principal engineer, a lead engineer, and a senior engineer. After that, I had to complete a take-home task within 7 days. The fourth stage was a 90-minute technical discussion about the task. I waited about 20 days for feedback after the final interview, and when I asked for it, they told me they decided to close the role.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

My candidate experience was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I was always treated as a second choice, and once the team onboarded the candidate they wanted to, I was thrown away with a generic template email. After a test and three interviews, a ghosting period of more than 2 weeks followed, with unprofessional excuses such as "I was on leave", after I asked about the following steps.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Tell me about yourself, and tell us a time where you had to be creative.
  • On the third interview, I had a chat, where I was asked where I learned to speak languages.
