First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flushing Bank.
Intern
Had a quick chat with a recruiter to start, then a more formal interview about a week later with the senior recruiter. They went over my resume, asked some behavioral questions, and told me more about the job. Got an update within a week.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- Can you describe your greatest area for improvement?
- Which animal or fruit do you identify with?
Universal Banker
Had two interviews on separate days. First was with the Recruiter in Long Island. Then, I had a second interview with the branch manager at the branch where I'd be working. There was also a quick phone chat where they just asked basic questions like how I found out about the company and why I wanted to join.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What feedback would your previous manager give about you?
- What motivated you to apply to our company?
Universal Banker
You'll first talk to a branch manager, then an area manager, and finally an HR manager. The whole thing takes about two to three weeks. It might go quicker if you're not working or can take time off work. They're pretty flexible with scheduling and getting there, really valuing your time like they do their own.
- Can you explain your approach to sales?
- What's your strategy for finalizing a sale with a customer?
Customer Service Representative
I had two interviews, one with the manager and another with the assistant manager, but they were on different days. It was a really simple interview process, with the usual kind of questions you'd expect. For example, they asked me why I thought I was qualified for the role.
- Why do you feel you are a good fit for this role?
