First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fluor Federal Services.
Procurement Specialist
They brought me in 3 times and it took about 6 weeks of my time. The questions were geared more toward would I fit with their click than the actual job or what I could contribute.
- What is the FAR and how do you apply it?
- How would you manage challenging program managers, considering we have some difficult individuals on the team?
IT Operations Specialist
I got contacted by HR then the program manager. We chatted about a bunch of options and I turned down the job a couple of times but then they made me an offer I could not pass up. After I said yes, they flew me out to HQ, put me up in a nice hotel, gave me a rental car, per diem, and took good care of me. The HR team was really knowledgeable, polite, and professional. By the time I left to head to Iraq, I was sure I made the right choice with the company.
- What's your approach to dealing with a challenging client?
Contract Specialist
So I applied online, then got an email that they got my application and are looking at it. After like 20 days, they called me to set up an interview with HR. The next week was the HR interview. Then I had a phone interview with my hiring manager and someone else. Oh, and this job hiring process means you gotta put your work history in a bunch of databases, do a drug test at a specific place, and they do a background check, credit check, and make sure you read and get everything before they can even start onboarding. All these steps might mean more phone calls or you answering questions.
- What motivates your industry change?
Business Analyst
There was a group interview with about 5 people. The questions were pretty standard since this was my first job out of college. Everyone was really nice and helped me feel comfortable even though I was super nervous.
- How would you manage when you have several tasks due at once and insufficient time to finish them all?
