& Process

First, I had a 30-minute phone chat with the talent acquisition person in California. Then, two days later, I did a video interview with the engineering services manager from Atlanta, someone from the hiring manager's team, and another engineering services manager in California.

No transparency or communication during the process. I had a first interview with the recruiter and it went very well. The next day, first thing, they sent me an email to schedule a second phase. I responded telling them my availability among the different options presented and I never got a response again. The day came when I told them I had availability and I was waiting just in case, I sent an email and called twice, I never got a response either. At least, it would have been nice to tell me that the interview was no longer necessary or that they already had someone else, if that was the situation… anything would have been enough. The selection process is the company's brand image and it left something to be desired.

The interview process involved multiple rounds where I met with different department heads, and we even had lunch together. They were very accommodating and offered excellent benefits. The leadership team demonstrated significant industry experience and provided insights into career progression, which I found valuable. A key theme during the interviews was the company's adaptation to the current business environment, especially concerning the pandemic's impact on the supply chain.

Initial call with a headhunter to screen me and understand my profile and motivations. Then, two interviews with the head of the department: one to discuss my profile, experience, and skills, and a second one to go over any remaining doubts about the role and its challenges. Finally, an interview with HR about my personal profile.
