It was a smooth and really organized interview process, honestly the best I've had with an agency. It kicked off with a phone screen from the HR coordinator. Next, there was a phone interview with the Managing Director in NY, followed by an in-person meeting with the Project Director in SF. Finally, to close things out, a phone interview with the CXO. The HR coordinator was great – very open, honest, and communicative. She prepped me for each interview and always followed up quickly with feedback and what was coming next. I was upfront with her about negotiating with another agency, and she helped speed up the process and decision on their side. I was offered a temp-to-perm contract for 2 months, which I liked because it gave both sides a chance to 'try before you buy'. All in all, a great experience!

The interview experience begins with a strong sense of startup energy and purpose, which is notable for a 10-year-old company like Fluid with a significant San Francisco presence. The company culture is open and positive, and the team is genuinely passionate about their work. Innovation and progress are clearly central to Fluid's identity, and conversations with co-founders and employees highlight the company's ambitious goals. The phone screenings were thorough and engaging, yet efficient, featuring detailed and focused questions. My recommendation for future candidates is to bring your best, be knowledgeable about your work and industry trends, and be confident in yourself. If you can't meet these three requirements, it's best not to apply.

The interview process was thorough but not aggressive and everyone was very personable and helpful in answering all of my questions throughout. The interviews were conversational and I could quickly tell I'd work well with this team. First phone interview was with their HR Director and covered the role, my background, and what I was looking for in my next job. Second phone interview with their VP of Delivery covered the role, responsibilities, and company culture in more detail. The last interview was in person with a few team leads, and covered my background and goals for the role in working with each department. Overall a very welcoming and professional experience!

The interview process was efficient and streamlined. The HR team was great with follow-ups and accommodating my schedule. Overall, the administrative work was impressive. This happened recently, and given my 7 years of experience, it was a good process to go through.
