Had a quick call with HR where they asked standard questions about my current status, experiences, and how I found out about the job. Then, I had an interview with the team leader, covering motivation, skills, expectations, the role itself, salary expectations, and relocation possibilities.

The recruiter was super helpful and kept in touch, even calling the day before to help me prep. However, the interviewer was really curt and seemed uninterested in getting to know me, jumping straight into the role. The interview was supposed to be 30 minutes but was wrapped up in 15. My advice for interviewers: make candidates comfortable and let them finish talking before concluding. For candidates, if you like a rigid, solo, do-it-yourself environment, this might be for you. It's not for people who value innovation and collaboration.

Recruiter reached out, and I proceeded to the next step. I interviewed with the hiring manager, who seemed disorganized and more interested in getting advice than assessing my fit for the role. I felt my experience might be more suitable for a leadership position above hers. I didn't receive a follow-up. They are transitioning from Netsuite to SAP, which I have extensive experience with both. They really need to hire industry consultants before investing heavily in solutions. The manager mentioned still using 'excel sheets from grad school' and boasted about her master's in Supply Chain.

I had an interview with the recruiter for this position about three weeks ago. They said I'd hear back within a week, and I thought it went well. Since then, I've sent multiple follow-up emails but haven't heard anything back. I saw the job was reposted on LinkedIn and Glassdoor with slightly different qualifications, which I still meet. I get that hiring needs can change, but the lack of communication is disappointing. A quick update on my application status would be appreciated and show professionalism. If the hiring manager doesn't think I'm a good fit, that's fine, just an email to let me know you're moving on with other candidates would be good.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What is your salary requirement?
  • The recruiter initially stated the pay was 100k, but then corrected herself, realizing she was mistaken.
