Communication was fast. Standard practical test. They were looking for candidates with experience and drive. The team was very friendly, passionate about their work, and wanted to ensure a good fit. They followed up quickly and were happy to answer all my questions.

I applied online on a Sunday and got a call back the following Friday. The first interview was with the owner, who's opening a third store in February, the one I applied for. They said it was standard questions, nothing too hard. Then, I was asked to come back for a haircut. This time, I met the store manager for the new location and was interviewed by her again, which surprised me because I thought I'd see the owner. I did the haircut, and a few days later, I followed up with the owner since he wasn't there for the haircut. It's been two weeks and I still haven't heard back about the job. It's pretty frustrating.

A day after I applied online, having seen the ad on Craigslist, the District Manager gave me a call. Then the Store Manager called me for the phone screen, and then they scheduled me for an in person interview. A few days after that, I was asked to come in for a "working interview". I'd never heard of this before, maybe it's a thing in Maryland. I ended up working for an hour and a half unpaid, which felt like an audition rather than just observing.

So I applied online and then a recruiter from their main office called me. They asked me a few questions and if I sounded good, they said the store manager would call me. The store manager called me for a quick phone interview and then they had me come in for an in-person interview. After the in-person, if there was time, I did some paperwork and a background check over the phone.
