I went through three interviews over two weeks. First, I spoke with someone from HR. Then, two people from the marketing team interviewed me. Lastly, I met with the head of marketing. After those interviews, I was given a writing assignment that took me about four hours to complete. Once I submitted it, I was quickly informed that they had selected another candidate. It felt like the assignment submission and the rejection email were very close together, making me wonder if the assignment was just a backup in case the first choice didn't accept the offer. It was a bit frustrating not having more transparency throughout the process, though everyone I interacted with seemed to really like working there.

So, the interview process started with a phone screen by HR, then I had to complete a take-home coding challenge. After that, I went in for an in-person interview. The initial part of the process was pretty straightforward, but then things got messy after the in-person interview. I kept getting told they'd have a decision by the end of the week, week after week, for about a month. Then, out of nowhere, they told me they were on a hiring freeze, even though they were talking about hiring a lot of people earlier. It wasn't a professional experience dealing with them.

The recruiting part was great. First, I talked to the recruiter who was really friendly and asked good questions. Then I had a hiring manager interview, but it was for a different job. That job wasn't quite right. The recruiter then told me about another opening, and I was interested. So, I had another hiring manager interview and then a panel interview. I really felt like this company would be a good fit for me. My advice if you're interviewing with Flowhub is to just be yourself. It was a long process, but it was worth it, and I felt supported throughout.

I interviewed for a product role with different team members, and then the CTO. He gave me a verbal offer and said HR would send info for a quick chat with the rest of the product team. I never got the email. Even after following up multiple times. Then, no email back for weeks. Then, a return to sender email and my follow-up call to the CTO went straight to voicemail. I later found out the CEO fired a lot of people in R&D, including most of the people I interviewed with. It was surprising and disappointing.
