First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Florence Healthcare.
Account Manager
It was a long interview process, over 3 months. First, I spoke with HR, then I had 3 interviews with the Account Management team over 3 weeks. After a month-long break, I interviewed with a senior director and then the CEO. Right after the CEO interview, I had to do a mock client meeting presentation to a panel. I had a week to prepare, but I was also moving houses that week. I thought the presentation went well despite my nerves and the move. HR said I'd hear back the next day, which was a Friday. Late Friday, I got an email saying they were still interviewing and would hopefully have an answer the following week. 16 days later, on Easter, I received an email saying they were moving on with other candidates and I wouldn't be getting an offer. I was really disappointed. Getting rejected on a holiday felt unprofessional, especially for a company that claims to value its employees. The silence after the presentation was the worst part. Everyone was nice, but I didn't get any feedback to explain why the process took so long and ended this way. I hope Florence Healthcare adds a feedback system for candidates.
- What motivated your application to Florence?
IT Support Lead
I applied for the IT Support Lead role in April 2023 and the whole process from the first interview to getting the offer took about 5 weeks, which felt pretty standard. There were a few scheduled meetings with different team members, including a few with the hiring manager. The first interview was supposed to be 30 minutes but went a little longer, which was good because it gave me more time to talk about my background and ask questions. For the final step, I had to do a 15-20 minute presentation on a topic the hiring manager gave me. I wasn't expecting the CEO to be there, but it was a nice surprise! The presentation part was a bit out of the blue for me, as I've had to solve problems and even take tests before, but never actually give a presentation. Overall, I really liked the interview experience and am excited to start at Florence Healthcare.
- The questions asked seemed to value my previous experience.
Office Manager Executive Assistant
The interview process was quite long, spanning over a month. It started with an initial recruiter call, followed by an interview with the department director. Then, I interviewed with the team, and subsequently with the department SVP. The next step was a lunch with the team at their office. After the lunch, they mentioned a presentation to the team would be the next step, giving a little info about it and suggesting it might be the following Tuesday, even joking about a Wednesday start date. I figured the recruiter would follow up with more details about the presentation. When I checked in on Friday, I was told the SVP was out and more info would come the next week. By Wednesday, I got an email saying they chose someone else, which was disappointing after investing so much time and effort.
- Can you tell me about your past work experiences?
Customer Support Associate
I found the job on Linkedin and sent in my resume. Pretty quickly, I heard back for an interview with a recruiter. That meeting was great, she was really nice and made it easy to talk. Then, I talked to the hiring manager. We chatted about my past work and how I could be a good fit. It was a good talk and I learned a lot more about the company. The next interview was with someone who's been there a while. I asked about her experience and got some advice for someone new. She was really open, which made me want to join even more. The last part was a virtual presentation for about 4 people. I felt ready and was actually surprised by how interested they seemed and the good questions they asked. It was a long process, but still pretty impressive. They communicated clearly throughout, which is awesome in this job market.
