The recruiter contacted me via email and asked me to set a date for a phone screen interview via using his attached calendar. I did it. when the date and time came I was at home by my computer but no one called me. Then after 20 minutes received an email from the recruiter who said he could not make it and would like to set another time via the same method. The only availability was after 2 weeks from the day I was expecting a call. Anyways I picked the first available date and time again and He called me late ( at least he did it this time) and run into my interview very fast.

So I initially went for an AE role, which had a phone screen with the Recruiting Manager, then an on-site with the GM, Sales Manager, and VP of Sales, followed by a panel pitch/role play. But after that, the Recruiting Manager mentioned my skills might be a better fit for an Operations Manager role and asked if I wanted to interview for it. The on-site for that one involved 30-minute chats with four people: a Data Ops Associate, the Ops Manager, Director of Accounts, and the GM. They gave me a case study about onboarding a new client and asked behavioral questions about my management style. The whole thing was really well done – communication with recruiting, the office manager, and the hiring team was smooth, even via video. Flexport seems to really focus on finding people who fit the role and culture. All seven people I met were great reps of the brand, and I enjoyed meeting them. I do wish I got better feedback on why I didn't get an offer, they said not enough team management experience, but then in the final interview, one person said I had a lot of it. Still, it was a really insightful experience, and I'm impressed with Flexport and their impact on the Freight Forwarding industry.

The interview process started with a 30-minute screening call with a recruiter. This was followed by a 1-hour call with the hiring manager. Then, there were two 30-minute interviews with Senior Directors. One of the Senior Directors was 20 minutes late, stated they hadn't read my resume, and asked a single open-ended question about warehouse quality with no feedback, appearing very annoyed. I later received feedback that I had gaps in one area, which contradicted my conversation with the hiring manager and my resume. I would have declined an offer if that Senior Director was my potential one-over.
