First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fletcher Building.
Engineer
It was a 3 stage interview. The first stage had general questions about myself, then we moved into engineering questions. One of them was about explaining a complex engineering problem, how I tackled it, and what happened in the end.
- Can you describe an engineering problem you encountered, your approach to solving it, the final outcome, and any team-related learnings?
Procurement Specialist
The interview process was really professional all the way through. They communicated clearly and quickly, letting me know what to expect at each step beforehand. The interviewers seemed ready and asked good questions that related to the job and the company's business.
- Can you describe a successful project from your past experience?
Project Coordinator
So there were 2 rounds of interviews. The first one was with the team, and the second one was with the senior management. The questions were a bit challenging, asking about my skills and weaknesses, but overall it was okay.
- Why do you feel you're a good fit for this position?
Cybersecurity Manager
The interview process for this cybersecurity role was quite lengthy and involved psychometric assessments. While the interviews themselves were well-organized and in-depth, they felt a bit repetitive because I found myself having the same conversations with different people. It was a bit frustrating because even though I clearly stated my background and skills from the beginning, it seemed like they eventually realized they were looking for something else, which felt like a waste of my time after investing so much effort.
- Tell me about your background and skills.
- The interviews were well-structured and thorough, but I had to speak with many different stakeholders. Ultimately, I think they realized during the process that what they wanted in terms of the role wasn't what they originally thought.
