First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fleet Feet.
Buying Coordinator
The first part was a phone chat with the HR recruiter, who was pretty nice. The pay wasn't in the job post and it was super low, like not even a livable wage, especially since the job needs a college degree and some internship experience. I mentioned my required salary, and she took it to the team, but they couldn't meet it. I'm a bit iffy about companies that try to pay the absolute minimum, so keep that in mind when you interview with them.
- Could you walk me through your background?
Marketing Director
It was pretty straightforward. They really focused on email marketing, social media strategies, grassroots outreach, and community engagement. They asked behavioral questions, and also retail and marketing-specific questions about growth strategies and how to allocate budget and resources. There were 2 interviews and 1 project.
- Design an activation or campaign that fits the market's business plan according to the given criteria.
Sales Associate
It was a really chill interview. We chatted about the job details and my previous experience. The vibe was super welcoming, and it seemed like a great place to work with happy employees. It wasn't high-pressure, but you could tell they're really into their store and their work, wanting to build the best team possible.

Retail Outfitter
I did 2 phone interviews and then a face-to-face meeting. The manager was really professional and polite. During the in-person interview, they asked some really important questions that I haven't encountered at many other companies, which made me feel like this is an ethical company that cares about its employees.
