The company is great and I was really interested in the role. I didn't make it further in the hiring process because the hiring manager thought I wouldn't be happy in a smaller role, even though that's what I'm looking for. I'm giving it a thumbs up because it's a good company and I don't want to discourage others, but I am a bit disappointed with how things turned out.

It was a really quick interview, and they didn't give me much info about benefits, hours, or what the job really entailed. They also didn't mention they were selling the property they were hiring me for. I told them I was only interested in their company because I wanted to move up to management and that it would be a good fit since they own a lot of properties around here.

I was excited for this interview because my qualifications seemed to be a good fit, so much so that I was able to bypass the initial phone screening. I met with two people for the interview. They seemed a bit unprepared, but I understood because they mentioned they were interviewing many candidates. The interview covered basic questions. There were a few red flags, like the typical "we're a family here" comment and the expectation that "this is more than a 9-5, so you should be prepared to sacrifice work-life balance." At the end, they both assured me that regardless of the outcome, I'd receive a follow-up call within a day to outline the next steps. I thanked them and left. The next day passed with no call. The day after that, still no call. I followed up a few times over the next week, but only got voicemails that were never returned. After more than a week, I finally spoke to one of the interviewers who told me I should hear from the other interviewer within a day. That day never came. I sent one last follow-up and eventually noticed the job listing was taken down.

Back then, the interview process really involved ML Talent Strategies a lot. They handled about two-thirds of my interviews. But overall, it was pretty straightforward and fast. There wasn't any long waiting periods, and I got my answer pretty quickly.
