The interview process was great and smooth, involving 3 to 4 rounds. There were technical and more general rounds. The technical part included an exploration exercise. I spoke with Associates and Principals, some of whom were previously fellows. The first round focused on understanding my background and research.

It was a multi-step process. First, there was a data literacy test where I had to interpret charts (multiple choice). Then, a coding challenge where I had to record myself explaining the solution (likely a LeetCode easy). This was followed by two back-to-back interviews with principals, which were pretty casual and friendly, focusing on personality fit. Next, two rounds of collaborative ideation: one with a surprise topic, and another with a topic I had a few days to prepare for beforehand (a take-home component). All in all, it was quite involved with many stages for a 3-month position. I think the whole application process took longer than the fellowship itself. But I get it, fellowships are often like a 3-month interview for a full-time role. Just be yourself and hang in there.

2 back to back 30 min interviews where I had to give them a pitch about any innovative idea I had. Honestly, it feels like they want to take your idea and it's very disturbing. My partner went through the same process and thought the same thing.
