First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Flagship Credit Acceptance.
Vice President, Applications Development
The interview process was pretty smooth and quick. I knew what to expect from the job description, and setting up the interview time was easy, they worked with my schedule. They kept me updated throughout the whole thing. The interviews felt right for the VP role, and the questions really dug into what the job needs and what I can do. The people interviewing me were pros, nice to talk to, and really interested in what I had to say. They gave me a good idea of what the job, the team, and the company vibe are like. I didn't ask for feedback, but the whole experience seemed to match what the company says it's about. The recruiters were awesome – super polite, friendly, quick to respond, and really helped me out, especially when we got to talking about the offer.
- Can you describe how you would set up systems for continuous integration, delivery, and ongoing improvement in the applications development department?
Quality Assurance Tester
The interview was scheduled for 8:30 am, but I didn't receive a call. After waiting about 15 minutes, I called the interviewer myself. She seemed surprised and said she was on another call, which I suspect was a mistake or she forgot. She asked if we could still proceed, and although I doubted we could finish in the remaining 15 minutes, I agreed. The interview began, and the interviewer, an HR Assistant, seemed disengaged, asking very scripted questions and showing little reaction to my answers, just saying 'uh huh uh huh' and pausing to type. It felt unprofessional.

Project Manager
I applied online and then HR called me for a phone screen. The HR person was friendly and asked prepared questions. After that, I had an in-person interview with the CIO. He talked about the previous PM leaving and his goal to grow the IT department from 50 to 800 people. He also mentioned he dislikes employees who need constant praise. I was supposed to have a second interview, but it wasn't scheduled correctly and the person didn't show up. When I asked about rescheduling, they said they'd let me know, but I never heard back. The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional.
- How would you manage competing priorities across different departments and teams?
Area Sales Manager
Started with a recruiter, Gina, who explained the whole process and timelines, even chatting about holidays and parenting. Then had a Teams interview with the manager and director. It went well, and Gina later called with an offer, helping me figure out a start date that worked for my family. Glad to be joining the Flagship team.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
