It was a standard process, but I got a bad offer, the company is after layoffs and it feels like they are really seeking 'prompt engineers' for a low price. Oddly enough, they did not offer RSUs in the contract, and I was told it was a company-wide policy, which I found quite bizarre. It went: HR screening, then a technical interview - LeetCode question + system design, then another technical interview with management where I have to explain about a project I worked on and answer personal questions, then HR interview and references.

First there was an hr interview, asking about who you are, what you've done, and what you're looking for. Then a technical interview. After that, they discussed salary expectations. Then you got to ask questions about the company and the interviewers. Finally, they asked why you want to leave your current company.

It started with a quick chat with the recruiter, then a 2-hour technical interview. We talked a bit about a project I led before, then jumped into coding with two problems. After that, there was a system design question. I felt the interview went really well, especially the technical part since the questions were common and not too hard. I was surprised to not pass, given my experience. I usually have a good sense of how interviews go. They sent a generic rejection email. I think the recruiter could have at least given some feedback after a 2-hour interview. I ended up reaching out myself for feedback, and they just said 'technical gap', which isn't very helpful.
