Behavioral Technical

The interview process was very disorganized. During the interviews, it was not provided clear information about the salary or the future of remote work. The benefits (50% match of 401K up to 4%) and the salary are not competitive with the industry standards. The email exchanges for the second interview provided confusing information about the next steps.

Behavioral

I applied online for a team lead role and was instead invited to interview for an individual contributor position, which I accepted since I have experience in both. The interview started with a quick overview of the company and a question about why I'm seeking a new job. This was followed by a rather awkward discussion about salary expectations. After I stated my salary history and expectations, I was told it was higher than their target. I mentioned I was looking for a lateral move or slight increase from my previous earning potential as I had only recently started my job search. When I inquired about the compensation for this specific Customer Success role, the recruiter couldn't provide a range, only stating it was significantly less than my target and suggested I might be better suited for a more senior position. I pointed out that this role seemed more junior (requiring only 2 years of experience) than the one I initially applied for. Given my ten years of account management experience, including team leadership, I asked for specifics on any missing skills or resume examples that might better align with the role's requirements (5+ years account management, 2+ years leadership including interviewing). Very little specific feedback was provided beyond a compliment on my resume's professionalism. Ultimately, it didn't seem like a good company fit, and the interview structure felt unusual, leaving me with a negative impression of a career at Fiverr.
