Coordenador Pedagógico E Professor
The hiring process for this autonomous position with the owner, Leandro, was very concerning from the start, with responses that felt threatening. It took a long time to get information about compensation. Eventually, they decided to hire me and called for training, but then they reduced my hourly rate and tried to cut my coordination hours significantly, aiming for less than 20 hours, whereas the previous coordinator apparently worked 10. When everything seemed set, and I was just waiting for my schedule, student information, class details, more training, and a meeting with the owners to set goals and review the school's history, they consistently made excuses about their personal lives to avoid meeting. They promised 20 hours weekly in the first week, as agreed, but then, with last-minute demands and throwing me into situations without context, they only gave me 2 hours for the week and refused to stick to a schedule. This was very unprofessional, similar to the previous coordinator who was a field consultant, not on-site. The owner also lied about the number of students, claiming 50 when there were fewer than 25. There's no marketing or external support for student acquisition, creating a very insular, family-like atmosphere.
- How could you contribute to the company.
Professor of English
They didn't let us know it was a group interview beforehand, but it was still great because the recruiters were very nice. At one point, a foreign candidate got a bit upset because she wasn't informed it would be a group interview and decided to leave.
- Could you tell us something about yourself?
Professor
A calm interview in Spanish, a written test, and a teaching demonstration. There's also another online interview to discuss salary, benefits, and other details. Everything's very relaxed and quick, without too many steps in the process.

Professor
The selection process was long, tiring, and disrespectful to the candidates. First, the person goes to the school and takes a test to check their knowledge of the language. Then, if they pass the second stage, an interview with the coordinator is scheduled. If the candidate does well in the interview, they are invited to take a course that lasts a week. All candidates take the course, which consists of spending many hours for consecutive days watching the coordinators teach and repeating what they did. It goes far beyond knowing the school's methodology, you have to watch the class, take notes on everything, and repeat it the next day. Each candidate has two chances, and if they don't repeat it well, they fail. In addition, the coordinators say they are evaluating the candidates all the time: the way they behave, even during breaks, if they show interest in the methodology, etc. However, the company does not care about the basic well-being of the people. They do not offer any financial assistance for transportation and food, and there isn't even a snack available; everything is at the candidate's expense, and there's no guarantee of hiring at the end of the training.
