First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fisher Investments.
Sales
It's been smooth sailing so far. I've met with managers and got a feel for the company culture and the role itself. It seems like a good fit for what I'm aiming for. Now, it's just a waiting game to see if an offer comes through.
- Can you share an instance where you were successful?
Sales
I got past the first step, which was a recruiter phone call. The recruiter was super nice and open about things, and then I was set up for the next round. I looked up "what did Ken Fisher do" because I was curious about his contributions to investment theory. But instead, all I found were comments he made at a conference where he sexualized women and made offensive sexual remarks. Honestly, I couldn't bring myself to even consider working for a company he's connected to, so I ended up canceling the next interview.
- What kind of role are you seeking?
Sales Lead
They wanted a phone dialing monkey with zero intelligence. No office, no camaraderie. Told me “if you make 250 first year I will fire you”. Leads are non-qualified and they give 100 new leads a month and expect you to call those garbage leads that just wanted free information. There was an old school feeling of being a broker calling and why don’t they automate those calls.
- What would you do with 1000 leads?
