First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fisher Investments.
Financial Analyst
I applied for a Business Analyst role and since my major is psychology, they said it was an all-major encouraging role. I had just one 30 minute phone interview with Fisher. The interviewer was really nice, I was just super nervous because it was my first interview. The questions were pretty generic. They had very flexible interview times.
- Can you describe a situation where you exceeded expectations to help a customer?
- Could you guide me through your resume?
- What is our company's mission or business?
Financial Analyst
The interview process had several parts: phone calls, video chats, and an in-person meeting. Everything was organized, and the recruiters kept me in the loop. I liked how Fisher Investments was clear about what they expected and the timeline. They also gave me lots of materials to get ready. In short, it felt like a solid but fair process where I could show I had the right skills and would fit in with the team.
- Can you describe a situation where you found a problem and developed a solution that led to better efficiency or cost savings?
Financial Analyst
It started with a recruiter call, then an hour-long phone chat with the hiring manager. Round two involved flying out to their Camas office for back-to-back meetings with two team members, the manager, and a VP. It was a full day of interviews, no time to explore, but they covered all travel costs.
- Analyze a sample sales compensation plan, propose a scenario, and complete a short answer assessment.
