First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fisher Investments.
Customer Service Associate
First, I had an interview with HR to get to know me and ask about my interests. They also wanted to know what I knew about Fisher and how it's different from other investment firms. The second interview involved STAR questions, asking again about my knowledge of Fisher, the role, and the training process/timeline. The third interview was a review of the role again, and then they offered me the job.

A recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn for this role. Then, I had a phone interview with another recruiter. They said they'd fly me out for an in-person interview, calling me an ideal candidate. After that, I never heard back, despite being told I would within 5 days. A week later, I applied again for the same job and was contacted by a different recruiter who asked the same questions. They mentioned start dates of Sept 17th and Oct 5th but then suggested I start in January because classes were full, which makes me wonder why the job was still posted. I then had a Skype interview with a hiring manager who seemed uninterested, just reading from a paper and asking if I had questions. It felt like they were just fulfilling a job requirement. A complete waste of time.
- Can you share an instance where you successfully navigated a difficult situation?

I got recruited from my college's job postings. I had a first phone interview for a sales role, but they called me back saying they wanted to consider me for a different position. So, I had another phone interview with HR, and then they flew me out for an onsite. Onsite I had three interviews and they said they'd let me know their decision. They called me back after that and said I needed to interview with another manager. I did that interview, and they said a decision would be made within the week. A week later, several recruiters called me and said I needed to have another phone interview. I did that, and got the decision a week and a half after that. The whole thing took about 5 months.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
