Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fisher Investments.
Client Service Associate
There were about 3 to 4 rounds of interviews, starting with a phone interview. Because I was interning at the time, they threw some tricky questions at me, and it really felt like the interviewer, Tony Holland, wasn't interested in hiring me. On top of that, he had the nerve to call me to say I wasn't moving forward, when an email would have been perfectly fine.
- Could you define what good leadership looks like?
- Tell me a bit about yourself.
- Why were you interested in applying for this role with our company?
Client Service Associate
started with an online application, then had a phone screening with HR. After that, I had one virtual interview with a team leader who asked me situational and behavioral questions about client service. The vibe was professional and friendly. They really wanted to know about my communication skills, if I could handle tough clients, and my past customer service experience. The whole thing took about two weeks, and they sent email updates regularly. I didn't get an offer, but it was a good learning experience.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult customer and how you handled it.
Client Service Associate
Everything was excellent. I got to the final stage of recruitment process, it took 3 interviews, 2 on one same day. The process is very nice, very transparent, they set clear expectations and describe the position as is, pros and cons, and will answer to your questions in a honest and friendly manner. I would recommend to prepare for the interviews using tools like Glassdoor and Indeed as it will help you prepare for the interviews to pass them successfully. Learn about the company, what they do, and why you do want to work with them, expectations for the future and how do past experiences align for the position you applied for.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded customer expectations?
