First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fishbowl Solutions.
Account Manager
The interview process was only 3 steps long, which seemed pretty quick. One of the steps involved a case study presentation that took me hours to prep for and then over an hour to present in person. I felt like the presentation went well, and they indicated I'd be updated on the next steps. However, I ended up getting an automated rejection email without any feedback. I tried contacting the hiring manager for feedback since I had invested over 5 hours into the process up to that point, but I never received a response.
- How do you manage your sales pipeline?
Software Consultant
I got contacted by a recruiter. After an initial phone chat, I was given a take-home test that was pretty much a SAT-style math test. Then, I went into the office for the final interviews, where I met with the president, the HR manager, and a principal software engineer. The coding part involved writing on a whiteboard, and they also looked at code reviews I had done before.
- What makes you want to join fishbowl?
- How do you define being a team player?
Sales Director
The communication was decent for a small business around the holidays. They were transparent about earning potential upfront, and the questions asked were very well aligned with the position. The only drawback was a last-minute request to reschedule the in-person interview, but with it being the holidays, it wasn't a big deal.
- Tell me about a time you succeeded with an account.
Sales Executive
Had a phone interview where the rep knew a lot about the company's values, vibe, and goals. Seems like a place to keep an eye on, maybe even work for. They're clearly onto something big in their specific market.
- What do you like about working at your current/previous company?
