First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fishbeck.
Administrative Assistant
It was three rounds and I got to the final one. The team was really nice and made me feel good about the company culture. I didn't get the job in the end, but they sent a really nice rejection email.
- Could you tell me why you're looking to leave your current job?
- What attracted you to apply to Fishbeck?
- How do you approach prioritizing your tasks?
Environmental Engineer
So, after applying online and then chatting with a recruiter at a career fair, I had 2 interviews. The first one was online, lasted an hour, and had 3 interviewers. The second interview was in-person, lasting about 1 hour and 20 minutes, with 5 people, some joining virtually and some in person.
- What are your career aspirations?
- Could you elaborate on your resume experience?
- Do you have any reservations about performing fieldwork?
Intern Architect
There were about 3 to 4 people asking questions. They started by introducing themselves, then asked me to talk about myself. The questions focused more on my past work experiences than on my portfolio.
- Have you worked with a firm in this state before?
- Have you had experience with construction documents?
- Do you see yourself pursuing research and teaching, or getting licensed?
Intern Architect
I got the interview at FTC&H through networking. The interview itself was good, more like a chat about me, my skills, and passions, and how they'd fit the firm. The 5 or 6 interviewers (some remote) were all really friendly and enthusiastic to learn about me, which I liked. It made the interview feel different and positive. I felt I could talk for a long time about lots of stuff without feeling nervous.
- Can you share some details about yourself?
- What specific skills do you possess?
- What are you passionate about?
