Investigator
The recruiter was really helpful, answered my questions quickly, and made sure we were on the same page. They set up the interview at a time and place that worked for me, and everything moved along fast.
- What motivated you to apply to this organization?
Teller
I put in my application online through the company's website. It took a while for them to get back to me, so long that I almost forgot about it. My first interview was with a hiring manager who was filling in temporarily. After that, I had an interview with someone from HR at their main office. Then, I met with the branch managers. They extended an offer about one to two weeks after everything was wrapped up.
- What are some typical interview questions?
Branch Manager
I first talked to the branch manager, my direct boss. It was a really standard interview, nothing special. The manager wasn't upfront about how the branch was doing, and I found out later she'd actually been moved down from a higher role. Then, I met with the head of retail banking and another person from that team. I already knew the head of retail banking from way back, so that second chat felt like it was mostly for show. Honestly, the whole thing was pretty much what you'd expect interviewing with a bank for a branch position.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult customer.
- What would you do if an employee was dishonest or stealing?
- What is your 5-year plan?
Specialty Finance
I applied online with my resume and cover letter. I had a phone interview pretty soon after submitting it and got offered an internship right after that. The internship was for twelve weeks, from May to August, and the work environment was great.
- Could you share an instance where you faced a significant challenge?
- What would you consider your most recent accomplishment?
