My interview experience with First Tech Federal Credit Union was unprofessional from start to finish. After the first interview, I was ghosted for three weeks. After the second interview, I was ghosted again for another three weeks. Despite these delays, I continued the process in good faith and ultimately completed three rounds of interviews for a Business Development role. Throughout the process, I was led to believe things were moving forward positively. Based on those signals, I declined TWO other job offers for the same position at a different company, believing this opportunity was essentially secured. Then communication stopped entirely. No rejection. No update. No feedback. Just silence. Repeated ghosting at multiple stages especially after encouraging conversations shows a serious lack of respect for candidates’ time and career decisions. This was not a one-off delay; it was a pattern. If you are interviewing here, do not decline other offers or pause your job search without something in writing. Proceed with caution.

The interview process was a bit messy and impersonal, but the interview questions were pretty standard. The first part focused on the general org structure and the team's goals. The second part was more technical, covering specific tools and processes they're looking to roll out.

It was an easy interview. Questions asked were very generic. There were at least 4 questions asked and about three rounds of interviews. The first round was a phone interview with HR, asking general questions about your work history. The second round was in-person with the manager, where I was given a situation to act out, followed by questions about my temperament. The third round was with the regional director, which also involved some generic questions.

I had an initial call with a recruiter, which was great. They told me about the role and company benefits. Then the hiring manager was supposed to follow up shortly after. The hiring manager did reach out and set up an interview. I got the feeling during the interview that the hiring manager had already decided on another candidate. They seemed a bit disengaged during our conversation.
