Supervisor
They asked normal questions, but I had to chase them for updates or any follow-up at all. It felt like they weren't really interested in moving forward with me, so I just stopped pursuing it. I'm looking for a company that actually wants me.
- Can you describe a difficult situation you had with a coworker?
- Describe a situation where...
Customer Service Advisor
I applied for the Customer Service Advisor role and went through about 5 main questions, including some about a specific campaign (Ulsterbank). They asked about times I'd excelled, worked in a team, and handled difficult situations, plus what I did, learned, and would do differently. It was pretty relaxed, and the interviewer was nice, although he mentioned the final decision was up to HR. I applied through Premiere People, who weren't very helpful; when I tried to get an update, they just said they'd look into it and I never heard back.
- Tell me about a time you used your own initiative at work.
Customer Service Associate
I'm writing because I had a really bad experience at Firstsource, Bangalore, Ecospace. I'm an ex-employee, having worked there when it was Customer Asset and then ICICI One source. I came in January and passed all the rounds: intro, telephonic, grammar, typing, IVR, and finally HR. In the HR round, they said I was selected for the Sky Tech Support Email Team (non-voice) and we discussed salary. I asked about an Ops round, and they said it wasn't needed. I submitted my documents and got a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a Jan 15th joining date. HR called to move the joining date to Jan 22nd and asked me to fill out an ex-employee form since I worked with ICICI One Source before. I went and submitted my documents again. Later, they asked me to resubmit the ex-employee form on Jan 20th. My references checked out positively. I was called to the office on Jan 21st to get the offer letter. But when I got there, they told me there's no vacancy for the non-voice process. They offered me a voice call position, but I'd have to go through an Ops round, and if selected, I could join for voice. When I questioned why they initially said I was selected for the Sky email team, they responded that the Ops team wasn't willing to hire me because my previous salary was higher than what they were offering. I live in Mathikere, and each trip to their office (30 km travel) was filled with hope for a job. Despite being selected and submitting all my documents, I was asked to join a team I wasn't comfortable with. They didn't tell me about the lack of non-voice vacancy during the interview. Why did I have to submit all my documents and references if there was no vacancy? Why did I go through all this stress when I was ready to join, only to be told there was no vacancy? It feels like I was selected and then asked to leave, which isn't fair.
- The most shocking and unexpected thing was when the HR informed me that there was no vacancy after I had already been selected for a particular process and offered a position that I wasn't comfortable with.
Prelegal Collector
So, I had a first interview, and there was a test when I got there. After that, I had a second interview, but didn't hear back from corporate for that specific job. Then, a few weeks later, a different manager from another department called me about a different position. I went for that one, and there was no test this time. It was just one person asking a bunch of standard, low-pressure questions. That interview took a while because there were so many questions, unlike the first interview for the account resolution specialist role, which was shorter with fewer questions. It seems like it really depends on the manager and department. But, just so you know, all final job offers are made by the corporate HR department, not the person who interviewed you.
- Tell me about your past jobs.
- What are your strengths?
- Can you describe previous work situations and your actions in them?
