First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard.
Risk Management Intern
The interview took about an hour and included two interviewers. They asked around 10 questions to gauge your understanding of the industry and how you'd handle common risk management problems. They also wanted to know what unique contributions you could make to the company.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to manage multiple deadlines and how you prioritized your tasks? What would be your course of action if you found yourself unable to meet all of them?
Customer Service Representative
So basically you come in for a walk-in interview, but first you gotta fill out this online application. Then you chat with a call center manager who wants to get to know you and asks some really basic stuff. If that goes well, they'll call you back for a second interview, which is a bit more in-depth. Before that second interview though, you'll sit down with someone who actually works there and listen to some calls to see if this job is really your thing. During the interviews, they hit you with a bunch of questions about how you'd deal with different customer scenarios and if you can keep your cool when things get stressful.
- What's your approach to dealing with a really angry and upset customer?
- How would you manage a situation with a customer who is extremely upset?
- Tell me about a time you had to stay calm under pressure during a difficult situation.
Teller
The interview process took quite a while. I was close to accepting another job offer before I got an interview here. The interview itself was pretty standard; no tricky questions or deep dives into my past work. I just needed to explain why I wanted to work here.
- Considering all the banks in San Francisco, what makes you want to work for First PREMIER?
Credit
It was brief. We had walk ins. There was a pee test. You need to dress up for this job, not just jeans and a t-shirt. They like you if they sit you down with somebody.
- Can you sell me this pen?
- Tell me about your previous experience.
