The interview process was a really smooth and lovely experience, with everyone being super pleasant. It started with a Teams call, which was basically a screening to get to know who you are. Then, there was an in-person interview that lasted about an hour and included at least three people. They asked about my resume and the experiences listed, trying to gauge how I think and communicate. Finally, I met with the Chief Credit Officer for a conversational chat to assess culture fit. There weren't any technical questions, mostly STAR-based questions focused on my past experiences and why they make me a good fit.

I applied in late Jan 2023. HR called the next week for a screen and to set up interviews with hiring managers. The interviews were virtual the week after. The hiring managers were a bit late, and some questions felt awkward and hard to answer, even one I didn't want to respond to. I got a rejection email about a week later saying they hired someone else. A few days after that, the same job was posted again. This was the worst interview process I've been through while looking for my first job after college.

The interview process went on for quite some time. The interviewers seemed really positive during the process, but ultimately they decided not to hire me. I'm guessing it might have been my visa status, but if that was the case, they must not have known about it during the interviews. I asked them about it afterwards, but they didn't give me any clear answer.
