I had a phone interview, and then two in-person interviews scheduled. The in-person interviews kept getting rescheduled by First Internet managers, which was annoying since I'd already taken time off from my job.

The interview had two very personable interviewers that made me feel comfortable and confident during the process, which was quite challenging. I had to make a presentation and then had a formal interview with psychological questions. It was an intellectually demanding experience, but the people made it worth it.

I applied for a job on a Wednesday evening. HR contacted me on Thursday by email to set up a phone screening for Friday afternoon. It seemed to go very well. They told me they'd be in touch the following week with an update, whether I was moving forward or not. It's been weeks since the screening, and I've called and emailed HR for an update with no reply. I'm really disappointed with the lack of communication from HR. It would be respectful to at least let applicants know what's happening.

It was a straightforward process. I first had a phone call with my manager. After that, it was mostly about filling out paperwork and some back-and-forth emails with HR. It was easy but took a bit of time. Since FIB is an FDIC bank, the background checks can be a bit lengthy. They did a good job of keeping me informed throughout the process and letting me know if any issues came up.
