First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Insight.
Software Developer
The interview process mainly has 3 rounds. The first round is an aptitude test which consists of three parts: quantitative, logical, and technical MCQs. You need to score more than 50% to pass it. The second round is a technical round, which is average. The third round is an HR round, which is just a formality. Overall, the interview experience is average, and you just need to focus on the basics to crack it.
- They asked about MVC and its life cycle in the technical round.
Quality Assurance Engineer
There were a few rounds to this interview, two were done online and one was in person. I didn't interact face-to-face much. How well I did in previous stages determined if I moved on. It included aptitude, technical, and HR assessments. The online parts focused on problem-solving, coding, and analytical skills. The in-person part was about how well I communicate, my behavior, and if I'd fit the team. Every round got harder, and the last one checked if I'd fit in long-term and with the company culture. It was a good mix of checking both my technical and people skills.
- Do you have experience with standard QA tasks?
- Are you able to answer technical questions?
- Can you describe how you would handle certain situations?
QA Automation Engineer
Honestly, this interview experience felt like a complete waste of time. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really out of options. The interviewer seemed confused and had really poor communication skills. It felt less like an interview and more like they just wanted to waste my time.
- Can you explain POM?
Senior Java Developer
The process was simple, with a basic set of technical questions covering Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and REST APIs. There were three rounds in total: first, a screening test, then a technical interview, and finally a managerial round. Overall, it was a good experience.
- What is your availability to join our company?
