First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Credit Union (Arizona).
Teller
The interview tested my communication and listening skills. They asked some really easy questions and went over the benefits package. Then they asked if I had any questions for them. Overall, it was an easy interview.
- How would your manager and coworkers describe you?
Accountant
I had one interview with a panel made up of the HR Manager, Accounting Manager, VP of Finance, and the Chief Financial Officer. They each asked me some questions. At the end, they told me when I'd hear back.
- To confirm the job location was convenient, they asked where I lived.
- They inquired about my current residence to assess the suitability of the job location.
Teller
I applied for the Teller position via jobing.com. They sent me instructions to apply on their website, but confusingly also mentioned faxing or mailing the application. The next day, an HR Representative called and clarified that I didn't need to fax or mail anything. We scheduled an interview for the following week, which was conducted by the HR Representative and her director. It was a very friendly conversation. I received a call the day after the interview with a job offer.
- Can you describe a situation where you dealt with a challenging customer?
- What would be your approach if a customer gave you wrong details?
- Share an instance where you had to be both accurate and quick at your job.
Manager
Easy phone interview with HR then a panel interview. They said they'd have a decision in 2 weeks, they called and asked for references, called the references then NOTHING for over a week. I got a message just over a week later saying they would make a decision by the following Monday then heard nothing until 2 days later. Except for the timeline, everyone was very nice and professional.
- If hired, what changes or effects do you envision yourself implementing within our Credit Union after one year?
