First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Community Credit Union (TX).
Call Center Representative
The whole interview process went really well, and everyone I met was super nice. They gave me a lot of good info about the job and the benefits. The interview happened online. I got an update about a job offer from my recruiter within two days, and then I started the onboarding stuff.
- What makes you want to join FCCU?
Bank Teller
It was a long interview process, which felt unnecessary for the pay and experience. They asked some strange questions about my background, including inquiries about my immediate family members' criminal histories, which felt like they might be related to race.
- Are any of your family members involved in criminal activities?
Back Office
It was pretty straightforward, just a few questions. They didn't really get into specifics, mostly just wanted to know if I could handle basic tasks like typing, using a computer, calculator, or office equipment like copiers and phones. It was more about general experience than anything technical.
- Were you asked about your typing ability?
- Were you asked about your computer proficiency?
- Were you asked about your calculator skills?
HR Assistant
It was a pretty standard interview, the questions weren't too hard. The interviewers were really open about how they're a traditional and conservative company and that the top execs are old-fashioned guys who think women don't contribute much to the company. They said this in the interview, which was really weird but honest.
- Can you walk me through a typical work week for you?
