Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First Citizens Bank.
Intern
I first chatted with the recruiter on the phone for about 30 minutes. Then, I had a 30-minute Teams call with the hiring manager. After that, I had an interview with a senior manager that was supposed to be an hour but wrapped up in about 45 minutes, also on Teams. These interviews were all really casual and didn't involve any technical stuff. I think they were mainly checking if I'd be a good fit for the company culture.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Intern
It was an online aptitude test and then a personal interview. The aptitude test had reasoning, math, and verbal reasoning questions. The personal interview focused more on credit assessment and risk analytics, specifically credit assessment.
- Regarding credit assessment, what are the main factors to consider, and what is your methodology for evaluating them?
Intern
The first round was entirely technical, which was a surprise as I expected a behavioral assessment. Be ready for technical questions from the get-go. Make sure to review all financial statements and valuation methodologies.
