It was a long process with many stages, and the interviewer wasn't clear about the role. I ended up declining the offer, but it's good I got a response. The job is 100% in-office with no flexibility.

I had my first interview with the recruiter and learned about the company and role. The second interview was with another recruiter where I discussed my background and experience. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager where I answered more questions about my experience. They told me the next steps would be to interview with the team and the HR VP. However, I was then asked to do a second interview with the hiring manager, which would have made it 6 interviews total. I felt my time wasn't respected and asked why another interview with the hiring manager was necessary. I received an email saying they were going with another candidate. After 4 rounds, the impersonal, generic email was disappointing. Some feedback would have been great. It was a relief to get the decline email because it didn't feel like a good use of my time, and that showed me how they might be running their business.

First I had an HR screening call. After that, I interviewed with my manager. Then I met with the department head. Lastly, I had a meeting with the entire team. Everything was virtual. It was all pretty chill chats about the job, the team, the company, and my experience. The whole thing took 3 weeks from start to finish.

You start by submitting an online application on the company's website. After that, there's a phone interview. If you do well on the phone, you'll take a Personality Index test to check if your personality fits the job. If that's good, you go for an in-person interview where you'll find out the actual job duties, chat with your potential supervisor and department head, and then take the Wonderlic test. If you pass that, you'll get an offer from First Business.
