First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First American Home Warranty.
Product Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward and quicker than at other places. It went from Recruiter -> Hiring Manager -> Peer panel -> Executives -> Decision. No weird or difficult questions. The Execs were interested in what I thought were easy wins. The other interviews were more in-depth, and for me, that included some technical aspects, but they were still fairly simple and mostly behavioral questions.
- Can you outline three potential projects you would initiate that could generate at least $1 million annually in bottom-line impact?
Customer Service Representative
For this entry level role, they train you for a week with an experienced customer service rep, so no experience is needed. It's basically easy to get a job here, but a difficult job to hold onto, the stress is real.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join our company?
Account Executive
The first part was a 30-minute phone interview with a recruiter that was mostly about my experience. It was a polite and easy interview. The second part was a 1-hour video call with two sales managers. They asked a lot of scripted sales questions, and the managers didn't seem very engaged; one of them kept looking at her phone.
- Can you walk me through your sales process?
- Let's role play a sales call where you need to push for a close.
Outbound Sales Representative
It was pretty easy. The first interview was with the recruiter, then with the sales managers. The callbacks were pretty fast from my experience. I received a call within 24 hours with an offer.
- Try to sell me something.
- What is the highest volume of calls you've ever made in a single day?
- Are you available to work weekends, as they need people then?
