Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at First American Financial Corporation.
Associate Project Manager
I had a wonderful experience during all the interview rounds. The HR round, in particular, was excellent. They made sure to explain all the salary components and policies, which was something I hadn't experienced at any other company.
- In terms of risk management, how would you approach it?
Project Manager
It was a telecon. They asked me to talk about the overview of my works and responsibilities mentioned on my CV. Then they asked about my salary expectation. The interviewer said he would discuss and get back, but I never heard from them. Later, my friend who forwarded my CV found out they told him that my profile/CV fits a more senior position and it was stored for future.
- Can you walk me through your CV?
- Could you provide an overview of your work and responsibilities as mentioned on your CV?
- What are your salary expectations?
Project Manager
The process was pretty straightforward. Started with a recruiter call, then went on to two more interview rounds and some work samples. The work samples (which were free work) took a lot of hours to get done. I thought the interview with the Hiring Manager went really well. Then I got a super short, abrupt rejection email basically two sentences long, just 48 hours after my interview.
- How do you approach project management?
