The interview process was super easy and thorough. They really paid attention to my background and how it fit what they needed. They even laid out what they expect from employees. I thought I'd have to handle 12 rooms a day right away, but they let me get the hang of things and work with others at a slower pace, making sure I wasn't rushed into the high expectations. I'm really grateful for that.

Communication was great and the whole process went really smoothly. When you work for a casino, you need to get a gaming license, and that part takes a little while because you have to fill out the application, interview with them, and then also interview for the job itself. Everyone involved makes you feel at ease and gives you a realistic idea of what to expect. It's definitely worth the longer process to get into such a good work environment!

You apply on their website. Recruiters check if you meet the basic requirements. If you do, they'll call to schedule an interview and email you directions. There are three interview rounds. The first is with a recruiter to see if you're a good fit. Then, you go for a drug test on-site and to wardrobe for measurements. The second interview is with the hiring manager for the department, who makes the final decision. If they offer you the job, you'll get lots of paperwork and links via email. You'll need to complete a big, detailed application for the Gaming Commission. After that, Gaming will investigate you and set up a Gaming interview. Be honest about your past because they do a super thorough background check, including credit. If Gaming approves you, you'll attend a two-day orientation. You'll learn rules and standards, get your uniform, and have lunch with people from your department. You'll usually get your schedule on the second day. They hire you right after.

I applied online and after about a week, I got an automated email for a pre-screen interview. This pre-screen involved a math test with 30 mental math questions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) to be completed in 3 minutes without a calculator; I couldn't finish all of them. The rest of the interview was with a person asking questions, some basic like being over 21, and others behavioral. I was informed there would be three interviews for the position: a pre-screen with HR, an interview with the hiring manager, and a background check with the gaming commission. The HR person decides if your application moves to the hiring manager. The HR person I spoke with didn't seem to review my resume or know my background. I was told I'd be considered and my info would go to the hiring manager. After a 90-day probation period as a full-time employee, benefits start, and you can then try to transfer jobs.
