The interview process was quite misleading. It seemed like they were hiring for a full-time W2 position, but in the final interview, they revealed it was actually a 1099 contractor role. Then, they asked me to state my desired pay. Since I discovered it was a 1099 role, I took a chance with my salary request, and it turned out to be too high, so they didn't move forward with me. The company seems interesting and fast-paced, but the interview process was very deceptive.

There were a few technical questions and the usual interview questions. Technical questions included journal entries. Behavioral questions included what you would do in a difficult situation, etc. Also asked if I had ever managed a team. Inquired about accounting software experience, noting Bill.com experience is preferred.

In the technical interview, they expect to write code on zoom chat screen :) Non-professional experience, there are more professional tools such as; CodeSubmit, Hackerrank, or Codeshare...
