First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fire Wings.
Chef
It was a pretty straightforward interview. They asked me about the essential details of the job, like my food handling experience and my background in fast food. It was a pretty generic interview overall for a fried chicken wing place. The culture fit seemed good and the manager seemed chill.
- What experience do you have in the food industry?
- Can you tell me about your food handling experience?
- What is your experience working in fast food?
Marketing Coordinator
There was 1 interview. It had a lot of behavioral questions and then some technical questions. You had to talk through your resume/experience and explain how you’re qualified. They used the STAR method to see how you can be analytical.
- How does your experience align with this position?
- Could you walk me through your resume and previous work history?
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Kitchen Staff
You approach the front and ask to speak with the manager. The manager will then meet with you at a table, and the interview will commence shortly after some brief preparation. They'll ask questions to understand your personality and background, focusing on how well you'd integrate with the team. A positive and motivated attitude is highly valued.
- What are your hobbies outside of work?
Server
It was a quick, upfront interview that lasted around 20 minutes. Make sure you're ready with questions about problem-solving, time management, and how you deal with pressure. Doing some research on the restaurant is a good idea. It really helps if you've actually eaten here and liked the food.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
