So, the whole process started with an online assessment on HackerRank, which was 90 minutes long. It had two coding problems, pretty standard medium-hard stuff, focusing on graphs and dynamic programming. Also, there were 10 MCQs covering OS, DBMS, Java, and time complexity. My advice? Brush up on your fundamentals and get your competitive coding practice in. Then came the first technical interview, focusing on DSA and OOPs for about an hour. They had me solve an LRU Cache problem and a sliding window problem, with follow-ups on complexity. We also talked about OOPs concepts and SOLID principles. The second technical interview was system design and DBMS, also an hour. I designed a basic payment gateway, concentrating on APIs, rate limiting, and security. We also delved into normalization, SQL joins, indexing, and transaction isolation. A quick chat about Kafka and message queues happened too. After that, it was the manager round, about 45 minutes, behavioral and scenario-based. They asked about handling production failures, debugging under pressure, and posed a scenario: 'What if your code caused a payment failure for thousands of users?' We also discussed teamwork, ownership, and learning from mistakes. They were keen to know my interest in FinTech, asking about KYC, payments, and fraud detection. Finally, the HR discussion, around 30 minutes. We covered salary, notice period, and joining. They also asked about my career goals and flexibility with location. It was a really friendly and open chat.

We had an intro call, then a tech round, a coding round, and a final HR round. Everything was virtual. During the intro call, they asked about my expectations. I didn't hear back for 3 days, so I had to call them again. In the tech round, they asked a lot of questions about my projects and data collection. They also asked if I had done the deployment myself.

I had to talk to 4 people for this marketing gig. They sent a standard rejection email afterwards. Scheduling was always last minute and they weren't flexible, which made them seem disorganized. Some questions were awkward, and I was surprised by the vulgar comments about coworkers. Even though they said it was a joke, it was clear that wasn't the right work environment for me. It felt like they were just going through the motions to fill a spot.

I had a quick HR screening where we talked about the basics of the role, the company, and some stuff about my experience and what I'm looking for. Then, I had a Zoom interview with the whole team, manager included, which was cool 'cause I got to meet who I'd be working with day-to-day. They asked about my experiences, times I struggled and got through it, and about projects I'm proud of. They also asked about my interests and it felt more like chatting than a formal interview. It was a good experience overall, and they were fast with an offer and answering my questions.
