First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fingerprint Communications.
Medical Communications Writer
I put together a power point presentation about an indication related to their work and then presented it to a panel of people. I had a few in-person interviews all in one day.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience and what drives your passion?
Public Relations
I was contacted by the company for an interview. The CEO, who I met with, seemed pleasant via messages, but was quite rude, condescending, and arrogant in person. She'd ask something, I'd answer it correctly, and she'd tell me I was wrong and then repeat my exact answer as the right one. She also name-dropped a lot, which felt unprofessional. It was a complete waste of my time.
- Could you explain your understanding of our client base's caliber and its implications for the job's duties?
Intern
The interview process was very casual, making the interviewer herself seem unprofessional at times. The office, too, looked more than a little disorganized and all over the place. I’d imagine this could be a good experience for someone looking for their first PR experience (i.e. they’re VERY eager to hire interns and want at least 3 days a week), but if you have a few internships/entry level roles under your belt (and, more importantly, want to be paid) there’s nothing about it that seems worth it.
- Can you tell me about your experiences at school?
- What are your thoughts on social media?
Senior PR Manager
I met with Jessica, the president, for a lunch interview. It was straightforward, and we talked about my background in events and public relations. She was very clear about what she expects from this role and made sure I understood the position too. We connected well, and I felt it was a great match.
- Can you walk me through your previous job history?
- What relevant work experience do you have?
- How do you feel about typical work hours?
