So first, there's a written exam, then a one-on-one interview. After that, they train you for 3 weeks. Then there's a final exam to see if you qualify. If you pass that, you'll do a branch attachment.

This interview felt pretty one-sided and kinda awkward. Right from the start, I got the vibe that HR had already decided not to hire me. Their whole demeanor felt dismissive, and instead of it being a real conversation, it was more like an interrogation. I didn't feel like they were actually considering me as a candidate, and the whole time, I felt pressured, which made it tough to have a fair back-and-forth. It was a really discouraging experience overall, and I felt undervalued.

The administrative staff are all very friendly. There's a strong emphasis on being "business-like" and "bank-like". The culture lacks that passion for mission-driven work that many other non-profits have. The initial interview was a small group interview led by an employee and joined by a consultant. The second and final interview was with the department's VP. The interview process varies depending on the position. For very senior jobs, there are more rounds of interviews.

The interview process was a bit long and involved for the position. I had a preliminary phone interview, an assignment to complete, and then three separate in-person interviews that required me to take time off and visit their offices three times over a month. It wasn't a terrible process but could be streamlined a bit to be more considerate of candidates' time.
